Well Lifetime Estimation Using Future IPR and Critical Flow Rate with the Chaperon Method at Well “RS-1” in the “RS” Field

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode continuous gas lift pada sumur minyak RS-1 yang mengalami penurunan tekanan reservoir. Data yang digunakan meliputi data reservoir, fisik, dan produksi sebelumnya. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengkaji perpotongan kurva Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) dan gas lift outflow pada berbagai kondisi tekanan reservoir serta pengaruh water cut terhadap performa produksi. Perhitungan laju alir kritis menggunakan metode Chaperon menunjukkan adanya batas tekanan kritis pada 200 psig, di mana kurva IPR dan gas lift outflow tidak lagi berpotongan. Proyeksi future IPR memperlihatkan penurunan kapasitas produksi sumur di masa mendatang jika tekanan terus menurun. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa metode continuous gas lift efektif digunakan pada tekanan reservoir di atas 200 psig, namun harus diganti dengan metode artificial lift lain saat tekanan mencapai batas tersebut. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan ulang sistem produksi sangat diperlukan untuk mempertahankan kelangsungan produksi sumur RS-1.
